Beulah Mai Williams

Beulah Mai Williams, age 100, went home to be with her Lord June 17, 2021 at Elmcroft of Murfreesboro. She was born July 9, 1920 in Murfreesboro to Joe Frank and Ella Bell Anderson Boyd. Beulah grew up in Murfreesboro and lived her life in Rutherford County. She worked along with her husband, Robert for years managing the Murfreesboro Bowling Lanes where they were affectively known as “Mama and Pappa”. Beulah married Robert on August 27, 1938 in Franklin, KY. They were happily married for 55 years. Beulah was a member of Taylor’s Chapel Baptist Church and enjoyed going to church, spending time with her family and trips to Hardees for breakfast. Beulah was preceded in death by her parents, Joe Frank and Ella Boyd; husband Robert; daughter, Rosie Helen; brother, James Wesley; sisters, Lorene Davis, Annie Dedmon, Mary Rich, Georgie Hampton, Rosie Sneed; and great-grandchild, Elijah Williams. She is survived by her sons, Donald R. Williams of Murfreesboro, Michael L. (Valerie) Williams of Lebanon; brother, Frank (Sandra) Boyd of Murfreesboro; grandchildren, Sarah McClard, Charles Williams, Daniel Williams, April Voss and Kristen Arocho all of Murfreesboro; great-grandchildren, Beth and Noah McClard, Ashley, Alyssa, Alexys Williams, Emma, Madison and Parker Williams, Gabie, Reese and James Voss, Alec, Izzy and Jaxson Arocho all of Murfreesboro; and several beloved nieces and nephews. Visitation with the family will be 10:00 AM until time of chapel service at 12:00 PM, Saturday, June 19, 2021 at Jennings and Ayers Funeral Home with Ben Stickle officiating. Burial will follow in Boyd Cemetery with Daniel Williams, Michael Voss, Jason Sneed, Alec Arocho, Tommy McClard, Noah McClard serving as pallbearers.
