Harley D. Zimmerman Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

It is with great sadness that the children of Harley D. Zimmerman announces his passing on Tuesday June 11, 2019 at the age of 86 years. Born December 28, 1932 in Beech Grove, Indiana to the late Elnora (Johns) and Arthur Zimmerman. Harley lived the past 12 years in the Nashville Antioch, TN. Harley raised his children, Eva and Harley R. in Plainfield, Indiana. He was a long time employee of the Indianapolis Star & News before his retirement. Harley was very proud of becoming a father later in life and always encouraged his children to strive to their fullest. Harley is survived by his daughter Eva (Jason) Meunier, son Harley R. (Kylie) Zimmerman, step-daughter Theresa Harris-Marchiando; grandchildren Shelia Harris, Ashlie Harris, Caroline Meunier, Harley D. Zimmerman, Nathan Zimmerman, Benjamin Meunier, Spencer Zimmerman; 3 great-grandchildren; siblings Ernest Zimmerman, Erelin Harbin, and John Zimmerman. He was preceded in death by sisters, Ladonna Scrogham and Joanna Wheatcraft; brother, Arthur Zimmerman; and son-in-law, Jason Meunier. The family would like to thank the staff at Boulevard Terrace Rehabilitation and Nursing Center for the daily care of their father and also staff at Jennings & Ayres Funeral Home.
