Jacqueline “Jackie” Mitchell White, age 80 of Jackson, MS died in Murfreesboro, TN where she was living on February 8, 2021. She was born February 18, 1940 in Shubuta, MS to Elizabeth Hudson Mitchell and Joseph Calvin Mitchell. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Thomas Floyd Hudson and Mabel Owen Hudson of Shubuta, MS and Ensign Franklin Mitchell and Essie Robertson Mitchell of Jackson, MS; her father, Joseph Calvin Mitchell of California and mother, Elizabeth Hudson Mitchell; husband, Jeff Edward White; and brother, Thomas Franklin Mitchell, Sr. She graduated from Provine High School in 1958 in Jackson, MS. Jackie worked for the Mississippi Attorney General offices from 1984 to 1985 and retired from the offices of the Mississippi Supreme Court in 2000. She was a member of Broadmoor Baptist Church in Jackson, MS. Jackie is survived by her daughter, Lisa Warren Collette of Jefferson, LA and granddaughter, Megan Collette Brown (Jonathon) Brown of Chicago, IL; brother and sister-in-law, Jerry Calvin Mitchell, Sr. and Thelma Becker Mitchell of Murfreesboro; sister-in-law, Margaret Lee Mitchell of Jackson, MS; cousins, several nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank all of the caregivers at Adams Place and NHC Murfreesboro for their special care. No service is planned at this time.
