Mary Ruth “Ruthie” Pugh, age 75, passed away at Ascension St Thomas Rutherford Hospital January 31, 2022. She was a lifelong resident of Rutherford County and worked with Teledyne and ATI as a Benefit Compensation Manager. Ruthie was preceded in death by her parents, James “Bill” Dyer and Robbie Mears Dyer; brothers, Leonard Dyer and Stephen Dyer; granddaughter, Britney Tucker; and niece, Debbie Dyer. She is survived by her husband, Junior Pugh; son, Tim (Meg) Tucker; daughters, Teresa Tedwell and Sandra Smith; brothers, Odell Dyer, Walter Dyer; sister, Brenda Shaffer; grandchildren, Cheyann (Cory Cline) Tucker, Trevin Tucker, Alicia Courson, Grayson Harrell, Audrey Harrell, Adrienne Harrell; great-grandson, Gabe Cline; three nieces; one nephew; six great nieces and nephews; and ten great great nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 4:00-7:00 PM, Friday, February 4, 2022 at Jennings and Ayers Funeral Home. Chapel service will be 12:00 PM, Saturday, February 5, 2022 at Jennings and Ayers with Dr. Lenny Farmer officiating.
